Tim, Thanks for volunteering to take on this task. You don't have to have cold fusion, as far as I can tell. If you need to test something, do it in a test directory at titanrobotics.net - however, we should find a host that offers PHP 5, if thats the route you want to go, or maybe we should stick with PHP 4/MySQL so we have more options... we can always port to SQLite later... (in that case, we can use sf2 as a host - silverfir.net) Anyway, I would like to help with the effort to port to PHP... I think it should be pretty straightforward, basically all Pedro had been using (that I've looked at anyway) is includes, SQL statements and loops to print things out (which cold fusion hides from you)... Also, we don't need to port everything over - or if we do end up porting everything over, we have to make some of the features a lot more usable (such as the accounts tracker). But here are the features that I think would be nice, in rough order of importance: Most content database driven for easy updates Users with configurable privileges (so different users can change different things) Easy way to post News, with auto-archiver Calendar (feature request: browsable, integrated with news) Photo Gallery, bulk uploads, auto-resizer and thumbnailer, allow picutres in horizontal or vertical format Integration with mailing lists (this will take some real doing, but I have a few ideas to try out) Membership tracker - points system (I will probably be in charge of setting up this part), email memebers over web (like currently implemented) Maybe some more? ~Ryan Tim Montague wrote: > If you give me access to the current website code, I will work on > porting it to php.
